Surf Prints is an online marketplace for the finest surf photos and artworks. We produce premium quality canvas and fine art prints from the industry’s best photographers and artists.
Surf Prints is based on the Gold Coast of Australia and is made up of a graphic designer, a picture framer, and a top of the range Epson large format printer. All of our production is in-house here on the Gold Coast, so we can offer great prices and have complete quality control from start to finish.
Our Printer
We run an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 wide format printer that prints up to 44" wide. Epson has long been regarded as the leader in the fine art reproduction industry, and to maintain this high standard we only use genuine Epson UltraChrome HDR Inks – the most advanced pigmented archival inks that exist. Once your print comes off the machine, the team thoroughly inspects it before it is ready to stretch or ship. We only print at 1440dpi which is twice the resolution that most similar companies print at. Coupled with the fact that we have been in the picture framing game for over 20 years and the graphic design industry for more than 8 years – you can rest assured your print will be of the highest quality.
Our Canvas
Our canvas is a premium grade 70/30 cotton/polyester blend, which offers greater dimensional stability and regularity than traditional 100% cotton blends. Cotton/Polyester canvas is far less likely to slacken on the frame over time and does not grow or shrink when printed. It has a medium to high texture and is 430gsm. All prints produced by Surf Prints are archival with acid free coatings and water resistant surfaces. We seal your canvas with a proprietary matte-finish archival UV top-coat.
Unstretched Canvas is delivered rolled, in a mailing tube, via Registered Australia Post which requires a signature upon delivery, ensuring your print arrives to you safely, ready for stretching at your local picture framer.
Stretched Canvas is hand stretched over 38mm hardwood frame with a gallery wrap (reflected edges) so that your canvas’ edges are the same colour as the face of the print, giving it a true gallery look. Stretched Canvas is delivered in a durable cardboard carton also via Registered Australia Post, and is ready to hang.
Our Fine Art Paper
Our paper is Moab Entrada Natural. This is “THE” paper for photographic reproduction. Entrada is the personification of America’s very own photo rag and simply makes others look second rate. Entrada’s triple coating gives images a dimensional quality that nothing else matches. It is an award-winning art paper made of 100% cotton and exhibits a native white surface reflecting the true color of cotton to bring your vision to life. Moab Entrada has a unique blend of slight but unobtrusive texture, excellent flatness and rich color. All prints produced by Surf Prints are archival with acid free coatings and water resistant surfaces.
Fine Art Paper is delivered rolled, in a mailing tube, via Registered Australia Post which requires a signature upon delivery, ensuring your print arrives to you safely, ready for framing at your local picture framer.
The Surf Prints Guarantee
All prints produced by Surf Prints are guaranteed not to fade for 80+ years if hung under normal lighting conditions. If your print fades, we’ll pay for the return shipping and then print and ship you a new one.
Shipping and Turnaround Time
We currently only ship within Australia but will be opening up worldwide shipping in the very near future. All products are shipped via Registered Australia Post which will require a signature upon delivery.
We work on a 7 day turnaround. More often than not, your print will arrive well within this time frame.
